Your Card and Listings

The service hosts visiting cards and listings of offerings. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and rights to the text, images, contact details and services you publish, including any qualifications or permissions your work requires.

You retain your rights in your content. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to operate your chosen card, directory and sharing features, subject to your audience settings and our Privacy Policy. Do not publish another person’s personal information without a lawful basis or permission.

A listing is the author’s offer. Its appearance in the directory is not an endorsement or guarantee of identity, professional status, quality or results. Check the provider and agree the work and its terms directly with them.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not publish scams, spam, deceptive claims, impersonation or material you have no right to use, including infringement of intellectual property or someone’s privacy.
  • Do not publish unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually exploitative or child-abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, harassment, or content that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination.
  • Do not threaten public order, India’s security or sovereignty, incite offences, or publish information otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
  • Do not use deceptive synthetic images or deepfakes, conceal a person’s identity behind misleading material, spread malware, interfere with the service, bypass access or rate limits, or harvest contact details.

These requirements also apply to profile pictures, banners and listing images. Report content you believe violates them; do not retaliate against or intimidate a reporter.

Reports and Moderation

Listings have a report route, available with or without sign-in. Reports and moderation can hide a listing or hold it for review; a moderator may keep, hide, restore or approve it. Not every listing is checked before it appears.

We may restrict access or remove content to address unlawful activity, safety concerns or a breach of these Terms. We may retain reports and relevant content as evidence even when a listing is removed or an account is deleted. Contact us if you believe a decision is wrong.

Card Addresses, QR and NFC Codes

A used card address or issued code is not reassigned to another person. Old card addresses may redirect to the same card’s current address. Removing a card reserves its address, and retired codes stop working rather than pointing at someone else.

During a paid NFC term, the tap opens the public contact download; the printed QR target opens the public card page. A person confirms the save on their phone. Phone support and the exact prompts vary. Editing the online card cannot update a contact already imported into another device.

Reserved addresses are an identity safeguard, not a guarantee of uninterrupted or perpetual hosting. Keep your own copies of information you need.

The NFC Card Subscription

Prepaid NFC subscription. GST and shipping included. The two-year price is a launch offer, available until the announced offer end date when one is set. Prices for a later payment are the ones offered then; time already bought is not changed by an offer ending.

Payment buys a prepaid NFC card term, with manual fulfilment. There is no automatic debit or mandate. An administrator verifies and records each payment. The term starts when recorded, or from the existing paid-until date if that is later, and ends the chosen number of calendar years later, through the end of that date in Asia/Kolkata. A leap-day anniversary ends on 28 February. Time runs while the physical card is being prepared.

Renew by paying again from your dashboard or Billing, from 30 days before the end. On expiry, only the NFC tap stops opening the contact download. Its page shows the public name and a public-card link. Signing up, the digital card, QR, vCard, offerings, directory and feed remain free. Payment never retires or replaces a code; renewal restores the same physical card. A refund ends the time bought by that payment.

When ordering is available, follow the dashboard button to the hosted Payment Page after publishing your free personal card. It prefills your name, sign-in email, public phone when available and public card link. Enter shipping and payment details there. Fulfilment is manual; the dashboard has no parcel tracking. Read the Shipping and Refund policies.

Ending Your Account

You can stop using the service. To delete a personal account, open Account → Delete My Account and confirm your sign-in email. Organisation memberships must first be removed by the organisation’s administrator.

Card content and listings are removed from the service, sessions end and the account is anonymised. Reserved addresses, retired codes, moderation evidence and existing billing records remain as described in the Privacy Policy. Stored-image deletion is processed separately. Account deletion does not itself cancel a billing arrangement or determine a purchase refund.

Complaints and Grievances

For privacy requests, complaints or questions, email hello@tapname.io or use the details on our contact page. Include the relevant card or listing link and enough detail to understand your request. Never send a password, sign-in code or payment credentials.

We acknowledge a grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 7 days, as the IT Rules require. A request to remove covered content is acted on within 36 hours, and within 2 hours for the intimate-image and impersonation complaints those Rules specify.

For an eligible intermediary grievance, a person aggrieved by the officer’s decision, or by non-resolution within the applicable period, may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee under its published process. The IT Rules provide a 30-day appeal period from receipt of the decision. This does not restrict other remedies available by law.

Liability, Law and Updates

The service and external providers may be interrupted or unavailable. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user listings, a particular business outcome, or another person’s conduct. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer and data-protection rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The laws of India govern these Terms. Subject to mandatory law, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. Statutory complaint and consumer forums remain available where applicable.

Changes to these Terms will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes that require additional notice or consent remain subject to applicable law. Contact us before continuing if you do not understand or accept a change.
